JustĀ Float is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Love.”

It’s taken me a long time to be able to get back to writing music since my dad’s passing – and I’m glad for this gift that appeared for me.

Straight forward rock with big pop harmonies and aesthetics.

Lyrics:

Some say that love is blind
But I still see
Some say we’re in a spell
But I’m still here

You think that you know much better
You’d think that we know much better
Some say we live a lie
But isn’t it sweet

Catch me when I fall
Won’t you catch me when I fall

When it’s all too good to be real
When it’s just too hard to feel
When all the dreams they seem to fall
Why can’t we float – we’ll just float

Some say till death do us part
But we’re done in
Some hide from affairs of the heart
But we’re still pushin

You think I’d know much better
You think I should have learned better
I know it’s not the truth
But nothing is forever

Catch me when I fall
Won’t don’t you catch me when I fall

When it’s all too good to be real
When it’s just too hard to feel
When all the hopes they slip away
Why can’t we float – we’ll just float
