New Release from The Silence Noise and Cableslave – Cold November

Buy This Track

Cold November is a collab between The Silence Noise and Cableslave. Listen to all of Cableslave’s music here.

As the cold sets in, hope seems to fade but stays alive somewhere within. Cold November is an epic, heavily orchestrated ode to the spirit that helps you survive the winter.

Lyrics:

…And the rain drops flow me over
And there’s silence all around..
Feel alive this cold November,
Pour myself another round

What have you got to show for it now?
Who are you fooling, besides yourself?

When the memories of October
Line the ground with memories
See the faces of the cold world
Pour myself another round..

Leaves may fall, but my spirit survives the winter…

New Release from The Silence Noise – Whisper Soft Betrayals

Buy This Track

Whisper Soft Betrayals was written live on Twitch.

An angsty anthem on betrayal, loss, and the impact on both sides.

Lyrics:

Whispered soft betrayals at the start
Giving me the predilection
To open up beyond my heart
Let it in beyond all the shadows of my doubt

Have you never wondered why –
What you say spirals around in your face?
Trigger happy with all your pains and discontent
Firing at your target with your testament

I never wondered why
I never questioned why
I only wanted the best for you and I
I never opened my eyes

Living with a penetrating burden
My thoughts always keeping faith
That I can overcome my loss
Feel it choking me, feel it crushing me

Have you never wondered why –
The truth spirals around and it’s forced in my face?
Trigger happy with all my will to love
Firing at my feet, find my face back in the mud

I never wondered why
I never questioned why
I only wanted the best for you and I
I never opened my eyes

New Release from The Silence Noise – Someday Somewhere Somehow

Buy This Track

Someday Somewhere Somehow is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Money.”

A little bit of in your face rock with some orchestral dreaminess in the middle of the guitar oreo.

Lyrics:

Someday soon, they say, preparing the dream
You could be anyone or anything – go anywhere
The dreams were never enough to find the place where ends meet
When life it gets too large and blocks the ways and means

Soon we’ll have all we should have
All we could have – All we could be
Potential for the future grows
Our optimistic currency
Hold it in your heart and in your mind
That there will come a day
Forever live in tomorrow
Never find the time today

Someday….somewhere…somehow

Someone soon will come along and see your truth
You will be everyone and everything – go everywhere
But the truth was never enough to find the place where ends meet
When nothing ever ends the way you thought it seems

Maybe you can still believe
Maybe you’ll have all that you dream
Maybe you’ll be all you can be
Maybe you’ll forgive your suffering

Soon we’ll have all that we want
All we can be – All we will be
The poison in our future
Spoils our optimistic currency
You’ve lost it in your heart and in your mind
That there will come a day
Give up on tomorrow
Waste the time today

Someday…somewhere…somehow

New Release from The Silence Noise – Once on the Other Side

Buy This Track

Once on the Other Side is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Honesty.”

Big, epic rock with a lot of strings, soaring vocals, and unusual transitions.

Lyrics:

Bury me inside my secrets
Fill the hole with a million words
I’ll only whisper at the screaming
Until the air turns into dirt

Forgive the father for his sins
Forgive the sons for rebellion
Forgive the mother for her blame
Forgive the daughters for their shame
Forgive the family for their loss
Forgive the burden for its cross
Forgive the thinkers for their minds
Forgive the thieves for stealing time

Stash your prayers inside the walls…

I can’t stay here in yesterday
I looked past all the best of days
The branches never hold
And the truth forever cold

Keep the fury out of sight
Til the days transform to night
When you reveal your heart
And you live inside your treachery

Gone across the other side
Left the gap still open wide
No reason to sustain
All the reasons now in vain

Keep the treasures tucked within
Beside the memories of them
Turn your eyes up to the sun
Fight a war you already won

Once on the other side
We will know freedom from this pain
Once on the other side
We will see truths for what they are
Once on the other side
We will have our peace
Once on the other side
We will have our time

Pull your prayers from the walls

Forgive us all we are born in sin

New Release from The Silence Noise – What Tomorrow Feels Like

Buy This Track

What Tomorrow Feels Like is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Road Trip.”

A building rock song that weaves through a variety of thoughts and emotions. Much like what I experience when on the road!

Lyrics:

On an empty road
In a lost part of town
Dream of anywhere else
Dream of anything else

A thousand miles between us
Yet it could only be a day
I could just disappear here
I could just pick up and go

Now my life is just so static
Nothing ever seems to change
I’ve only got time now to have it
I’ve only got my same old habits
Never claimed to have enough
hit the road to find it all
I’ve only got one life to burn
I’ve only got one wheel to turn

Soon I’ll be gone…

Remember what tomorrow feels like
As the city’s shadow slips away
Soon I’ll be somewhere else
Soon I’ll be somebody else

Now the miles are getting shorter
And it’ll only be a day
I could just be a memory
I could just be a faded dream

Now I’ve broken all the habits
Seems like everything can change
I’ve only got my time to love it
I’m loving life and want more of it
Never thought I’d had enough
On the road to claim it all
I’ve only got this road to drive
Then I’ll leave it all behind

Soon I’ll be gone

New Release from The Silence Noise – Lost Child

Buy This Track

Lost Child is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Retrospective.”

A straight forward rock song with a mix of melancholy and encouragement.

Lyrics:

We once had a dream of a life
Spinning round like reels on a tape recorder
Imagine you could be anywhere else
Dust off your impression of a favored son

Aren’t you the lost child
Spending all your days in a world of fantasy?
Aren’t you the lost child
Pretending to be someone that you’re not?
You’ll make it home someday

He once crossed his heart and hoped to die
Keeping all the secrets of the sanctuary
Imagine you could be anyone else
Forget where you came from, forget who you come from

Aren’t you the lost child
Spending all your days in a world of fantasy?
Aren’t you the lost child
Pretending to be someone that you’re not?

You’ll make it home someday

New Release from The Silence Noise – Faith in Short Supply

Buy This Track

Faith in Short Supply is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Reverb.”

A journey from a haunting church choir up into an anthemic and epic rock chorus.

Lyrics:

It was in the rain
His fear washed away
While hope and ambition seemed to float

The tears of rage
Were wiped from his face
And destiny set on its course

In the face of such loss
It’s easy to see
Why faith is now in short supply
The damning effect
Of a life we once led
Returned to the peace now of rest

Now grey
Soft rain
Purpose redefined
And the tragedy mine
Alone
There’s nothing left to see

Heart beating slow
And thoughts now a blur
The opposites easy to feel

Splintering focus
So quick to pervade
Consciousness sharp razor blade

In the face of such loss
It’s easy to see
Why faith is now in short supply
The damning effect
Of a life we once led
Returned to the peace now of rest

Be quiet
Be still
Be quiet
Be still
The storm will pass
Peace to the land
Be quiet
Be still
Be quiet
Be still
The storm will pass
Peace to the land

New Release from The Silence Noise – Haunted

Buy This Track

Haunted is an original re-recorded in honor of my late father’s birthday on April 25th of this year.

Today, April 25th, would have been my Dad’s Birthday. Haunted was originally written back in 2005 and was his favorite song that I had ever written. In the original version, Dad regularly mentioned how he wished I would pull out the drums and guitar out and focus on treating this as more of a ballad centered around the vocals.

With that, I present an updated version of Haunted in honor of my Dad.

Lyrics:

Drifting to me
Like distant tears upon these dreams
A dream so long forgotten
Buried under waves

So quickly all the wants I’ve known before
Crash into the surface
Cascading on the sand

A life waiting outside the door
Only locked by fear
Staring at the mirror
So long inside myself

Paralyzed by years of lies
Spun so delicate
A web that’s spun to bind me
Of my own making

Behind these bitter eyes
I am haunted
Inside this fragile mind
My tormentor
Disguised as something more
A hope betrays me
Inside the sweetest dreams
I am haunted
By wanting more

Falling unto me
Like crystal raindrops on my cheeks
All the things I want
The hopes I had
My ambitions
Colors draining slowly from all the vibrance that they’ve known
Seeping downward
Draining into grey

My life waits for me outside the door
Only locked by fear
Sitting in the dark
So cold and barren

Stigmatized by years of lies
That lead me to distrust
That you could save me
But you can’t save me

I am haunted
I am haunted
Inside this fragile mind
My tormentor
Disguised as something more
A hope betrays me
Inside the sweetest dreams
I am haunted
By wanting more

New Release from The Silence Noise – Crashed Down to Earth

Buy This Track

Crashed Down to Earth is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Patience.”

A hypnotic and eerie orchestral rock song building to an epic climax.

Lyrics:

When he crashed down to earth
He had a score to settle
And all of them around us
Refused to let him fly

He couldn’t wait for God
So he set out to find him
He couldn’t wait for peace
So he set out to find war

When he shook off the dirt
He hadn’t found his mettle
And all of them surround him
Refused to let him fly

He wouldn’t wait for God
And when he set out to find him
He didn’t see his piece
So he started up a war

New Release from The Silence Noise – Live How I Want To

Buy This Track

Live How I Want To is inspired by the /r/songaweek theme of “Fear.”

A rock anthem about the moments when you fall down. Defiance in the moment of being beaten. Triumph regardless of failure. Choosing to live how you like.

Lyrics:

Shaking
I shake against the force
If the wind blows me down
How will I know if I get up again?

Bracing
I brace against a storm
Send your thunder and your lightning
You’ll still see me here fighting

Swallow the pride
Keep fear inside
I’ll drown if I have to
I’ll live how I want to
Crawl past the line
Weaker with time
I’ll drown if I have to
I’ll live how I want to

Standing
My knees shake under me
If my legs just give way
I know I can’t get up again

Racing
My heart ready to burst
Even when things get blurry
I still know my soul

Swallow the pride
Keep fear inside
I’ll drown if I have to
I’ll live how I want to
Crawl past the line
Weaker with time
I’ll drown if I have to
I’ll live how I want to
